I am happy to strongly endorse Brenda Guberman for her expertise and success in working with children with a diverse range of reading issues. I was privileged to see Ms. Guberman at work in a school district when I was her superintendent of schools. She was sought after by staff and parents, as she could handle the most difficult childhood reading challenges successfully, for she has pursued much-advanced training in a diverse range of scientifically based multisensory interventions. Her diagnostic skills are astounding, and she knows which technical approaches to use to meet the challenges with which she is presented. Now in private practice, Ms. Guberman is in high demand locally and nationally to work either in person or virtually with children presenting a broad range of issues presently facing school-aged youngsters. She continues her deep professional involvement at the adult level as well, providing instructional workshops to practitioners - graduate students, teachers, school administrators, and others. But her first love is working with children and their families to develop and ensure success and skill in all reading-related endeavors. Brenda, Thank you for always being there for Cooper. I’m so fortunate to have your guidance and wisdom behind him. We have forever!! changed Cooper’s educational trajectory! We gave him an opportunity to feel successful and achieve success in spite of his reading difficulty, which he has completely overcome, thanks to you! It’s quite amazing.
Words alone cannot express how thankful I am that we found Brenda. The progress my daugahter has made in a year is tremendous, and I cannot be prouder. Brenda came highly recommended by my daughter's 2nd grade teacher last year. When she began that school year, she told her teacher that she could not read which was heartbreaking. Fast forward to the middle of third grade, and we now have a reader who has made leaps and bounds in her schoolwork. Each week she meets with Brenda for an hour during a Skype call. Admittedly, I was skeptical of the remote tutoring when we began, but it has been a nonissue. In fact, I now appreciate the convenience of having my daughter home so I can tend to my other younger children without having to leave to bring her somewhere else for tutoring. My daughter never pushes back on having to jump on for her tutoring session. She loves Brenda as do I. Brenda texts me a summary and update of each session once it is over. She always has a compliment to offer and praise for my daughter which is so appreciated. She is so kind, knowledgeable, and patient. She was also instrumental in helping me to implement my daughter's IEP. I cannot say enough good words about Brenda and her program. I am so grateful for all that she has done for my child and the confidence she has helped her build.
Brenda was a Godsend!
Working with her brought my son’s reading back up to grade level!
Her program js thorough and comprehensive.
Her gentleness and caring set the tone for positive sessions every single time!
She goes above and beyond for the students AND the parents. I was always made aware of what they worked on and what the next goal was.
She taught my son strategies that he’s still using years later!

When our daughter was in third grade she struggled with reading. As she fell further behind, her teacher suggested that we consider having her evaluated. Then one day, she came home and told us that she was the “dumbest kid in the class”. It was heartbreaking. As we struggled through the CSE process with the school district, I had the good fortune to be introduced to Brenda Guberman through a professional acquaintance. That meeting really changed the trajectory of our daughter’s life. Brenda evaluated her and provided us with support at CSE meetings. We were successful in having her classified and the district provided us with services which we supplemented with weekly sessions with Brenda. Brenda is so well versed in so many reading programs that she was able to customize instruction to maximize the benefit for our daughter. Not only did she help our daughter develop strategies to overcome her reading disability, Brenda taught her how to organize her thoughts and her work and helped her to understand that her disabilities are not a reflection on her intelligence, but rather that she learns in a different way. Fast forward nine years, our daughter graduated from high school. She was consistently on the Honor Role and did well in both her Honors and AP classes. She relied heavily on the study skills which she developed under Brenda’s tutelage. In fact, she actually had an advantage over some of her classmates to whom things had come more easily and who had never developed such structured habits. Our daughter is now in her first year of college. She was the recipient of several academic scholarships. She is doing well and understands that as a student with learning disabilities, she needs to advocate for herself. She is focused, confident and living her best life. We are so grateful for all of the doors that Brenda helped our daughter to open.
